An useful review

Hi, I have around 300 Dvds and with 4 kids watching them all the time, some of them are starting to show their age. I spent a lot of money on this collection and I want to back them up so I can use the copies for viewing and put the originals away. I need to get a very simple and user friendly program to back them up. The easier the better. I bought a 2 terrabyte external drive to also store them.

I guess I am looking for the easiest program to store on a hard drive and burn to a dvd. Also for whatever program you suggest, do you know if there is a video tutorial available for it? I have very low computer technical skills and just reading some of the posts here confuses me... Anyway, like I said with 4 kids my dvds are wearing out and with my oldest now at 16, I may have grandkids within the next 5 to 7 years... I would like to still have those movies for them to watch when the time comes!

Thanks very much for your help.
